We Dance

Oct 4, 2010

We dance with the soul of our eternal found reflections, spinning, flowing in the wonder of the holy tapestry we weave.

We dance in the bending light of the moment of prismic bliss.

We dance in the shadow of all things made, cast by the beams shining from two hearts merging in love.

We dance in the words of angels, flowing free from... Read More »

Interview with a College Student

Sep 23, 2010

I was recently asked by a college student, studying to be in the field I'm in, computer programming, to answer a series of questions for a paper she was assigned to write. I realized as I formulated and wrote my responses that a life empowered by divine needs to touch all aspects, interactions with others, our family life, our roles in our communities, and our careers. A transcript of the interview follows...

I have read that it is possible to get a job as a computer programmer with a 2 year degree, but that a 4 year degree is preferred. Can you really get that great of a job with an associate’s degree?

More knowledge and training is surely preferred, but that's not the only prerequisite to being hired for a great job. Intelligence, character, presence, confidence, inquisitiveness, tenacity - with these sorts of traits a great job can be found, regardless... Read More »

Action!

Sep 14, 2010

There's much talk lately about the power of dreams, of intent, of attraction. While it's absolutely true that we create our lives by our intents, and that the Law of Attraction is at work in the Universe, this is not the whole story. Good intentions without action are virtually worthless.

We, each and every one of us, is part of the Divine Whole. As part of that Whole, we are indeed instruments of God. Our thoughts, our intents, our actions, regardless of our level of awareness, are part of the Divine Perfection that flows, that knows, that grows.

We begin our journeys in innocence. Then, as we live and learn in a world that knows not the fullness of God and Truth, we drift from that innocence to a place of fear. Fear creates perceptions of lack, loss, imperfection. Our minds become ruled by that perception of imperfection. Our lives our painful;... Read More »

Life's challenges

Sep 12, 2010

Some days, life seems unfair. Some days life is cruel and harsh and just plain hard to take. It's easy to get discouraged when things go awry. We've taken the time to love ourselves, to pray, to reach out to another, and still, bad stuff happens. Why?

When we take a few steps back, we can come to realize that the why doesn't really matter. Could be some karmic event caused by some wrong we've done. Could be a lesson we need to learn. Could be some strange cosmic accident. Or perhaps since we share this world with lots of others, notwithstanding the fact that we're all one, the effect that we're experiencing is caused by someone else's karmic baggage.

Sometimes, the reason is obvious - we've harmed someone, we've not taken care of ourselves, we've been dwelling in misery, or one of lots of other reasons. Sometimes, the reason is not at... Read More »

Out with the old, in with the new

Sep 11, 2010

Our lives are the sum of the effects of all our thoughts, acts, and beliefs, until this very point in time. If we want our lives to be different, we need change our thoughts. Attraction guides people, situations, and things our way in accordance with and in resonance with our thoughts and beliefs. If we want a better life, more fulfilling, more peaceful, more joyous, we need to change our thoughts and beliefs.

This process is rarely easy and even more rarely fast. It takes time, consistency, and discipline to release, to let go of our old habits and beliefs. We've spent decades building a set of beliefs based on what we've been told, what we've experienced, and what we've chosen to believe and hold as important. Some of these beliefs are good; the sum total of our beliefs forms our ideals and values and determines, in both an abstract and... Read More »

Seven Steps (to enlightenment)

Oct 11, 2009

  1. Be willing to believe that your perception of truth is incomplete as your mind is unable to fathom infinity.
  2. Find the courage to forgive all wrongs, past, present, and future, whether committed to you or by you.
  3. Be willing to seek and accept that we are all connected, not figuratively, but literally and utterly.
  4. Come to realize that below all matter is energy, or light, and that we are all constructed of that... Read More »

What is love?

Feb 10, 2009

So, I wonder again, the really big question, the one I ask every few months or so…

What is love?

Well, love is God, God is love, God is all, all is God, love is all, all is love.

Sure, I get that, it’s all perfectly wrapped up in a beautiful red bow. We are all one with God. God is pure love. Love is the power of creation. Love is eternal. Love is present, indeed exists outside of time, like God, part of God, all of God.

But, what else?

Love is not constrained by the limits we place on it.

Love is utterly and truly infinite. (and never redundant)

Love is much more perfect than I am.

I can but begin to taste its fullness, can but begin to scale its heights, can but make a brief beginning at conceiving its real and true and full meaning.

Okay, so maybe I’ll never fully understand it all, but... Read More »

Bliss is...

Aug 16, 2008

Bliss is a state of contentment, a knowledge that all is well. Bliss is a goal of the quest for awakening, a goal of withstanding the pain of change. Bliss is the eternal state of oneness with mankind, with nature, with God. Bliss is the... Read More »
