There is an apparent gulf between the concepts of acceptance and growth. On the one hand, perfect acceptance says that both you and the world are perfect. On the other, embracing growth and change is a desire to change yourself and the world.
Would we change that which is perfect?
But that is not the right question.
The question presupposes that you and the world are static. Neither is true. We live in a world, a universe, a reality, that is in flux. Perfect flux. Your perfection in this moment is, in part, made perfect in change. You are rising, deepening, and growing. And that is part of the perfection of this moment. Accept this perfection, the truth of the perfection of a changing now, of a reality of flux, and the apparent gulf vanishes.
