Take Me

April 29, 2007

How does the child
accept that he has grown?
How can he know
the new life he's been shown?

My spirit weeps
at the impossible truth
That you are my father
That I am your son

Resistant adolescent mind
Barrier to the divine
How can he know
all that you show?

Take me, dear father
I give you my life
Remove these last worries
Take the final strife

Raging child within
Needs your heavenly power
Touch me, dear father
Take me this hour

In you, I find peace
Show me your face
Let your glorious love flow
From that heavenly place
