The Thought that You're You

November 4, 2006

Time stood still as you entered my life
Kind eyes softened my once hardened heart
I dreamed that one day I might be your wife
Your caring ways lifted me from the very start

From the very first instant I saw that shy look
From the moment I felt your first kind embrace
I hoped that I might have what it took
To strengthen that beautiful smile on your face

Loving is the precious way you are to me
Trust is the bond that holds us so true
You fill my life with joy, my mind with such glee
Inside, I fly with the thought that you're you

Loving is the precious way you are to me
I laugh and we giggle at the funny things you do
From two become one, on this we agree
Inside, I fly with the thought that you're you

Together we’ll live and dance under the sun
We’ll skip, hop and walk, days filled with great fun
This promise we make; this day, become new
Pledging our lives, as one, made from two
