Ripples in Time

July 19, 2005

As a child clings to the love of his mother
I hold tight to the love of the dream
Captured blessings of lessons unmet
Cherished hope of the trappings of my past

My thoughts long for the peace of the presents
My heart desires what it once held dear
Oh, precious insanity, fill this agonizing void
The quest for peace where only chaos dwelt

The peace is found beyond the abyss
The myth that is found when i trust
The hope that is found ever deeper
The fear that dissolves in the waves

My prayers rise on the waves, oh God
As only You provide real peace
Your voice displaces the void that once was
Your love quenches the illusory pain
