Sweet Dawning Day

July 29, 2006

synchronous waves of happenstance
drinking a cup of fresh tea
robin and dove give a passing glance
from the branch of a very tall tree

walking a path of loneliness
child cries out in the night
finds a new friend to console her
end of the sorrow and fright

they reach to the low hung fruit
grab one that's ripe they can share
tasting the sweet lucious fruit
sweetness of friendship in the air

the walk becomes a skip
as the sadness melts away
new giggles and chuckles dawing
freshness of the sweet dawning day
