Child of my heart is weeping
Thunder keeps my mind from sleeping
Flood of memories, to and fro

Facing ghosts asleep so long
Wall of fear we built so tall
Wonder how we sleep at all
Dancing in this deep, dark throng

Looked into the eyes of the mirror
My face aglow with the rising tide
Today is the day I no longer hide
Today is the day I walk in the dark

Burdens too heavy for a child to bear
Secrets hidden where I dare not look
Underneath joyful smiles they took
Darkness floods, makes still the air

Time comes for the choice to leap
Into a fog that engulfs the soul
Believing fully, remade whole
Jump out of the endless sleep
