save the child

February 23, 2006

guardian tried to save the child
loved the gentle angel, mild
had no clue what he had done
safely hid with evil one

child was afraid to speak
taught to be ever quiet and meek
bore the pain of darkness whole
chilled him to his very soul

child wants to fly away
live his life in joyful play
praying for the destined day
darkness fades in sun's bright ray
