Rising in the morning
Felt the rays of sun
Thoughts of newness born
Peace comes from the one
Falling to my knees
I said a word of thanks
Father always near me
Birth of dawning hope
As morning lingers on
New worries ramble in
Drama is a part of life
Carrying neighbors' pain
Remember why we came here
Call to mind why we're alive
The lessons aren't so easy
Teachers to help us thrive
The promise is not that we
Live always in constant bliss
But that we don't bear alone
The troubles that come today
In the dim hours of afternoon
If we look with all our will
Even in trials and trauma
Joy and hope we share, still
