Divergent

October 17, 2009

A harsh and rainy night
Foretelling winds of dreams
Tearing at our heartstrings
Tearing at the seams

From the corners of surrender
Blue skies turning black
As day turns into midnight
New moon's vague attack

Speak the words of twilight
Sing the hopeless song
Nothing but surrender
Can turn this right to wrong

Give to me your essence
Divine immortal soul
Nothing less can fill me
But passion, pure and whole

In shadows of tomorrow
Our souls will fully merge
Surrendering our bodies
Our spirits now diverge

Speak the words of silence
Sing the heavenly song
Nothing but your passion
Can turn this right to wrong

A harsh and rainy life
A long and perilous night
Heal my broken heartstrings
Join me in this flight
