New Days

October 10, 2009

He who walks in silence
From the hollows of one heart
Awakened to the solace
That flows in life's true art

He who walks in goodness
In the dawning of an age
Carrying the wisdom
Of the teacher and the sage

He who walks in wonder
With the twinkling focused eye
Releasing sudden joy
Spreading wings to fly

He walks through each new day
And dreams a dream each night
Pervasive thoughts of heaven
Brilliant bending light

Surrendering to the flow
Riding each brave wind
On wings of borrowed time
On God's warm breath, divine

He walks in heaven's gladness
And rides the winds of change
Through toils and through hope
New days to rearrange
