thieves in the dark night

July 9, 2009

the starkness of a white lie
standing naked before me
it cannot erase
the vision now exposed

random thoughts colliding
in a mind that seeks it all
loss of innocent sereneness
still hot day, devoid of breezes

the horrors of violence
told, retold, retold yet again
ad infinitum, over and over
heights of ignorant redundancy

the illusions of loss
the terrors of lack
foolishly following
a scared and lost pack

these things, i wish i had never known
