why?
why, then, must i cry?
glimmer of tears as they stream from my cheek
sweetness of years as we walk the holy dream
six hundred perfect prayers i prayed for you today
six hundred loving years and we will be together again
sadness of the child as he waves from the shore
pain of the journey etched into the walls of change
joined in the wondrous abundance
sands on the beach of neverending love
she could see only the love of my face
secrets hidden by the shadow's embrace
light of the world shone wihtout trace
source of holiness, all fear to displace
why, then, must i cry?
why, then, must we die?
