Believing a flawed truth
That the world surely revolved
Around her restless mind
And yet, she never knew
Destined forever to be
Alone in her cherished desires
For excitement, booze, attention
It was all she had known
Gone were the innocent days
Of kindness and love
Now drained by a world
Too bright, too large
So, she became
As destiny demanded
Forever in a trance
Of self-absorbed neuroses
