Stained Glass

September 10, 2008

Vibrant, voluptuous, such
brilliance in their hues

The artisans spent countless decades
improving the views

From the harsh wooden benches
brown, impersonal pews

Life shone through those windows
made everything feel new

Colored by perspective, we
walk each fateful day

Longing for each raindrop
tasted along the way

Finding what is sought
karma’s promised pay

Hues of beauty refracted
wondrous shining rays
