Passion and Despair

August 13, 2008

A walk on the beach
The sun setting over the tall buildings
They enjoyed the sounds of the waves
The colors of the darkening winter sky

Tomorrow would bring new experiences
Joyous and free, but short lived
This new and dawning relationship
Would find deep chasms and bitter moments

They arrived at her room
Disrobed in what seemed like seconds
Somehow, they felt their shared destiny
As their passion grew flaming wings

A night of new and pleasant sensations
Would end with tomorrow’s midday sun
The heat of tonight’s great passion
Chilled in the icy waves of tomorrow’s despair
