Quest for Peace

July 16, 2008

For uncountable lifetimes
He sought all manner of things
Riches, romance, fame, fulfillment
Never content, never resting

He had been a traveling musician
A sharecropper earning his keep
Once he had been a prince
He died in a quest for more lands

So many wonderful and wondrous lives
He was forever a part of the seams of life
Forever sunk into a sea of want
Forever ensnared in the unquenchable quest

For uncounted lives
His story many times told
Until at last he was awakened
By the horrid siren
Of the lust for more

And he found rest
At last
