Choices on the Path

May 3, 2008

In every living moment
Choices present themselves
Every step, every thought
Each and every perception

A song plays in the hearing
Of a walker on the path
Does the walker pause to listen?
Does the listener stop to dance?

Passing another on the road
Does he turn his head?
Does he greet the other?
Do they exchange a glance? A word?

Yesterday’s choices
Presented again today
Risking a change in path
Choosing a new way

Lessons deepen
As time walks on
Higher calling
In each new dawn
