Queen of the Plain

March 22, 2008

Cleaning her paws
Satisfied with her prey
Devoured as the sun
Departed from the darkening day

Remembering the look
Fearful dread on its face
Craving the flesh
And the power of nature’s embrace

Tomorrow will bring
Fresh meat and thrilling chase
Tigress finds sleep
With a smile on her face
