blooming flowers

March 8, 2008

winter winds blow the seeds
scatter them over the lands
until they find a new home
and set down new roots

spring rains cover the ground
water the newly rooted seed
sun shines longer each day
seeds grow ever stronger

sprouts push through the ground
warmed by the lengthening days
seedlings reach for the light
of a sun that shines eternal

and as the birds and squirrels look on
flower blooms this day
gives the world new colors
fragrance to ease the walk of life
