determined to feel better
through a new pair of eyes
and a new heart

i get mad at others for the flaws i don't want to see in me
and the closer i get, the more flaws i seem to see
i am determined to not let the flaws i see in others keep me trapped in my anger
i am determined to see things differently

i am determined to see all the pain i see in others melt away
i am determined to see the truth of love
and in this, i am healed
and in this, we are healed

we are here because we want to be here
we are here because we want to grow in love
we are here because we want to see
we are here because we want to be free of past and pain and anger and rain
we are here because we want only the peace and love of god to remain
