Goodbye, Dear One, Goodbye

June 3, 2006

Saying goodbye
Before saying hello
Crying the tears
Letting them flow

We met in a meadow
At the beach, in a crowd
Dreams of forever
Dancing on a cloud

Perhaps, if we're real
And don't move too fast
We'll savor the friendship
Creation that can last

Visiting the future
I look to the past
Remember this day
Feel the contrast

Decision seems right
Why, then does it hurt?
Clarity bites
Romance, we divert

Though I never could tell you
How my love flew so high
Still, it pains me to tell you
Goodbye, dear one, goodbye
